- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Mashed Potatoes:
- 2 pounds potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet), peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk (more if needed)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese for creaminess

Instructions:
- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and return to the pot.

- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter.
- Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional minute.
- Serve:
- Plate the creamy mashed potatoes and top with the garlic butter steak bites.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or chives.
