INGREDIENTS
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 5 strips of thick cut bacon, chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 1 half of a large onion, chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and set the cabbage aside.
- Cut the bacon into bite-size pieces, and cook in a large skillet over medium heat until it is brown and begins to crisp.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon, leaving the bacon grease in the pan. Add the diced onion, and garlic to the pan and saute for about 2 minutes.
- Add 1 tablespoon of the butter to the pan, and stir it in until melted. Next, add the cabbage to the pan.
- Season the cabbage with all of the seasonings, and add in the other tablespoon of butter. Saute the cabbage for about 10 minutes until it is tender to your liking. Enjoy
